一 |     Abuja, Oct 10 (UNI) At least 76 people were killed after a boat capsized in the southern state of Anambra at the weekend, Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari confirmed.



In a statement on Sunday, Buhari acknowledged that rescue agencies had officially reported the death toll of the tragedy on Friday and expressed his grief.



A passenger boat carrying 85 people capsized in the Ogbaru area of Anambra State on Friday, following rising floods in that area, according to the statement.



An investigation had been launched to determine "other causes of the incident" besides floods, Thickman Tanimu, the southeast zonal coordinator of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), was quotes as saying by local media.



Following the tragedy, Nigeria's National Inland Waterways Authority and the NEMA have embarked on rescue and recovery missions in Anambra.



Buhari said he has directed other rescue and relief agencies to rush to the site, urging the relevant government agencies to check the safety protocols on local transport ferries to make sure such incidents can be avoided in the future.

“我在北京就喜欢玩儿桨板，到雄安发现这里水资源太丰富了，就想着怎么利用一下。今年夏天，我在这里开了这个水上运动中心，也是给在雄安生活的年轻人带来一种新的运动体验。”李楠说，“这里周边有很多疏解企业，大家下班来体验桨板可能只需要五分钟，很多人调侃，上班和‘上板’就隔着一片草坪。”

2023年，李楠和家人来到雄安，在这里安家，创业。在北京从事教育行业的他，到雄安也把目光集中在教育上。李楠说，在雄安创业，他觉得更松弛，能把事业和爱好结合起来，这是之前从来没有过的体验。

三年时间，李楠的培训学校先后开办了五个校区，雄安也一年一个样，发展很快。“感觉我在和雄安一起向前走，信心越来越强，对未来的发展也充满期待。”李楠说。
